At Thunder Bay Eye Care, eye exam fees will vary based on factors such as your eligibility for OHIP coverage, age, and your individual health conditions. Each person's situation is different, so the price will vary. For more detailed information, please call us; our office staff is ready to assist you.
▸ Children (19 years and younger) are eligible for an eye exam every 12 months, plus any necessary minor appointments.
▸ Adults (20 to 64 years old) with certain medical conditions can receive an eye exam every 12 months, plus 2 follow-up appointments.
▸ Seniors (65 years and older) with certain potentially sight-threatening conditions are eligible for an eye exam every 12 months, plus 2 follow-up appointments. Seniors without sight-threatening conditions can have an eye exam every 18 months, plus 2 follow-up appointments.
▸ Exams requested by a doctor for a specific reason, with a referral, are also covered.
At Thunder Bay Eye Care, we understand that schedules can change. We kindly request that patients inform us at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This allows us to offer the time slot to another patient in need of eye care. Missed appointments without prior notification may be subject to a cancellation fee.
